Christmas in New York

My second time in New York in one year! I have about a billion heart eye emojis for this city. Its constantly thriving as its filled with so much art, phenomenal food, and people. This trip was primarily more for me to experience what I didn't get a chance to the first time I was there, and boy did I cover a lot of ground. Nearly every touristy thing you could think of, I probably did that! But seriously this trip was a dream. I had the pleasure of traveling to the big apple a little less than a week before Christmas and it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. From the show on SAKS 5TH AVENUE to walking through Rockefeller Center, it was really a dream come true. I was able to touch down on most of Manhattan and Brooklyn which gave me a chance to master the subway system (which I was able to, SCORE!).

If you need any help with your trip to NYC, I have two words for you- Gossip. Girl. Live out your G.G dreams! Visit the steps of the MET or check out Chuck Bass's lair at the Palace hotel. If you're ready to shop like Blair Waldorf herself, a stroll through 5th Ave will be perfect. If you want to go to where Chuck and Blair got engaged, visit the Bethesda fountain where you'll see the gorgeous steps, the bubble man, the beautiful fountain, and different ponds to go boating in all within the same radius. If you want to get the Humphrey vibe going on, take the train over to DUMBO, Brooklyn where you'll see some amazing architecture such as the Brooklyn Bridge and get a great bite to eat.

One of the spots I discovered on this trip was Ichiran Ramen, where you get a unique dining experience of being able to eat in a small cubicle and be served through a small screen with no human interaction. Definitely worth the experience! Though, the two spots I HANDS DOWN RECOMMEND, are Jack's Wife Frieda and Friedman's which you should make reservations to avoid a wait. If you do go to Friedman's during the wintertime, make sure to try their Apple Cider Mimosas, it’s phenomenal (along with their gluten-free food of course.)!
