Go-To Summer Pieces
Summer is finally here and so is the struggle to put together the perfect outfit. So, I figured I would share my go to outfit pieces to conquer the day while still looking stylish.
1. ROMPERS + DRESSES.
These are such a staple pieces for summer! They are so easy to throw on and go while making a statement. Given that it does get chilly at night in California, it's so nice to layer over a denim or leather jacket to give the dress a whole new vibe. It's also great to layer on dainty or staple jewelry to add that extra sparkle.
2. LIGHT TRENCH COAT.
This trench coat has been my new obsession! Its so light which is perfect for summer and is great to layer over dresses, pants, shorts, whatever you could possibly dream of! It adds an elegant yet simple touch and will be great to wear for the colder season with a hoodie under.
3. SKORTS & SILKY CAMISOLES
Holy crap! Who knew something so simple could be so addictive for me? Let's talk about this silk camisole. If you know me personally, you know that these are basically the ONLY tops I wear & I have too many to count. They are so perfect to layer over a t-shirt or wear on their own, but either way, the simple top adds so much elegance and simplicity to your outfit.
Now onto the skort. I never thought I was a fan of skorts but when I put this baby on, I felt like a new woman (Dramatic? Yes. Do I mean it? Yes). I love skirts but it is such a huge hassle when a breeze blows by and you're struggling not to flash the world! I love a good illusion and no fuss which is why skorts are absolutely perfect.
4. FLOWY PANTS
If you know me, comfort will always win me over when it comes to fashion, no matter how cute the piece is. Flowy pants are the answer for me (especially when I forget to shave my legs #TruthHurts ;). The great thing about these is that you can dress them up or down and no matter what it'll be easy to pair it with any neutral top for a chic outfit.
5. MIDI SKIRTS
This is a new trend I'm trying out and may I say- IM OBSESSED. I was always self conscious cause frankly, I'm really insecure about my legs and I thought that these would only look good on tall girls but I can confidently say that I think I'm rocking it. This is probably one my my favorite pieces for summer because it was something that brought me out of my comfort zone & is something new!
6. GRAPHIC TEES
Honestly, I don't know why I didn't hop on this train sooner. I love pairing basic pieces to make a simple and chic outfit and graphic tees does just that. Whether its band tees or just simple printed tops like these, I'm absolutely obsessed. Pair it with shorts, tie a knot and pair it with a midi skirt, style it with jeans and some sandal heels and you have endless stylish looks!
BRB as I dry my wallet for more graphic tees that are beyond comfortable hehe
