I think the question I need to start asking myself is, "When is Fiona not in LA?". I came back after being here not too long ago for a weekend trip to meet up with some awesome people and with that, I have plenty more experiences to share with you! I believe that this point, I have fulfilled my career as an LA tourist and I'm ready to become your personal tour guide! This weekend was filled with so much laughter and love with so many wonderful people and I could not feel more lucky.

Here's some of the notable aspects of this trip:

Taste on Melrose | It's a very chic and modern bistro thats great for lunch or dinner and meeting up with some friends!

Urth Cafe | Perfect for breakfast, brunch, and lunch! I highly recommend getting the 'Caprese Panini' and add chicken if you're like me and need the extra protein! I also loved the 'Blended Green Tea Boba'.
The Parker Room | This is much more of an intimate bar and tapas spot. There is a restaurant next door where you can have a real table but we found that out a little too late! Great food & great drinks, I highly recommend it!

Verve Coffee | An industrial and aesthetic coffee shop located in Downtown LA. Complete with pressed juicery offerings and great chai* (I don't like coffee), it’s a great place to come and work or have a meeting.

The Getty Museum | This museum was one of the most breathtaking facilities I've ever been to. I drove past it many times without realizing that it was the famous 'Getty' thinking that the tram rail was part of the 'Incredibles' set! It’s extremely modern and I could spend days here with exhibits from the Egyptian period to the Renaissance period.

Jazz Nights at the W Hollywood Hotel | If you're like me and love some live music, definitely make your way here on a Sunday night for some awesome entertainment! I suggest if you want a good seat, to make a reservation so you're not left with only two options! Though we were fooled and thought it was just jazz, the experience we had was equally fun as the band did various covers of hit songs from Beyonce or the classic 90's R&B (performers subject to change, please check their website) along with burlesque dancers. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday night!

Bungalow Santa Monica | (21+ only) this is a great spot to grab a drink with some friends. The reason why this is one of my favorites is that it’s such a laid-back vibe and makes you feel like you’re at a house party instead of a sticky bar!
